I am the wisest man alive, for I know one thing, and that is that I know nothing.

The ADL: Never is Now Conference was hosted at the Javits Center in New York City and was a moving and informational experience. There were two parts that were special to me. The first of them is, that as a Jew in a school with not many others like me, it sometimes feels like I am different or have to explain things to everyone all the time. At the ADL conference, a lot of the people were Jewish and could share my experiences and the warmth that I feel all the time. Just seeing and being with those total strangers was very comforting and special.
The second reason is that I am used to being in spaces where people have the same opinions as me, and at the ADL I was frequently in rooms with people that I agreed with and with people that disagreed with, and we all came together to discuss these issues. We were all there fighting hate no matter if they were a Republican or Democrat, Christian or Jew, black or white, everyone was there to listen to people who are making it their life to fight hate speech. It was a remarkable experience.
