As I grow up I realize what art means to me. When I was younger I did dance and that was all the art I felt I needed. When I stopped dancing, I relied on books to give me that feeling of being immersed in a beautiful piece of art. Through Mass MoCA’s interactive and immersive art, I felt connected to my younger self and the people around me. I was brought a true sense of joy as I sat looking at colored light change on a screen or sitting in a room filled with the most beautiful light I have ever seen. Usually I dislike museums because I don’t see the point in spending a day staring at pieces of art on walls. Now however I see that art can be the immersive experience I like and not totally one dimensional.
